Mieczyslaw Litwin, MD, PhD

Professor at Department of Nephrology, Kidney Transplantation and Arterial Hypertension, the Children’s Memorial Health Institute, Warsaw and professor at Chair of Pediatric Nephrology in Posgraduate Medical Center, Warsaw.

Consultant in pediatrics, nephrology, pediatric nephrology, arterial hypertension.

Author and co-author of more then 230 full papers on chronic kidney disease and arterial hypertension; author of books and several dozen chapters in the field of nephrology and arterial hypertension.

Grants holder (national and EEA) in the field of: nephrology, primary hypertension, vitamin D metabolism, public health. Collaborator, main contributor, steering committee member in international, multicenter grants (ESCAPE, 4C, 3H, Utilise, AREgPKD, COST Action – HyperNetChild, among others).

Main clinical and scientific interest: arterial hypertension, pathogenesis of primary hypertension, hypertensive target organ damage, early vascular aging, general nephrology, chronic kidney disease.
