BIOGRAPHY

Prof. Tomas Seeman is a distinguished pediatrician and professor at the Department of Pediatrics, Charles University in Prague, Czechia. With over three decades of experience, he has dedicated his career to pediatric nephrology, kidney transplantation, and hypertension in children.
Prof. Seeman completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and gained international experience as an observer at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, USA. He has held prominent roles, including Head of the Pediatric Kidney Transplantation Program in Czechia and a Pediatrician and professor at the Department of Pediatrics LM University Munich, Germany.
A recognized leader in pediatric nephrology, Dr. Seeman is a founding member of the International Pediatric Hypertension Association and has served as President of the Czech Society for Pediatric Nephrology (2013–2023). He has also been a council member of the European Society for Pediatric Nephrology (2010-2013) and is an active member of multiple professional societies, including the Czech Society of Hypertension and the German Society for Pediatric Nephrology.
Prof. Seeman has made significant contributions to scientific research, authoring 198 publications in peer-reviewed journals with over 3,843 citations and an H-index of 36.
